The Default Patch is not very helpful... Why?

Okay, so I kind of blew it on this one.  I've been living with the Default Patch for so long, I overlooked updating it for our release.  As it stands, the Default is a good starting point for any sound designer that has access to our incredibly cryptic development editor, but that is basically just me at this point so it's not very helpful.

What I think I'm going to do would be to create a default that is more like the top panel of a Minimoog, i.e. a simple set of controls that are hooked up to basic synthesis functions, so you can get a pretty wide variety of sounds out of a well chosen set of parameters.  Maybe I'll do a couple different flavors of Default that favor different synthesis areas, not sure yet.

At any rate, I'm putting it on the list of Patch bank tweaks I need to do for the next software update.  Sorry I didn't think of this before...

All the best,

Taiho

Good idea. When you pull up the first patch and it's totally vanilla, it's like a limp wet first handshake.

You might overcome it with your winning smile and banter, but you never get that handshake back.

Taiho, no need to apologize man.  Many of us definitely understand that it took a lot of toil to get Waverazor released.  I am not a programmer, but I am a database developer, so I can empathize with the tedium (at times) and the never-ending 'To-Do' list.  WR is solid and a great foundation as is! :)
