No sound crash

Third time this has happened.

Open Waverazor in a DAW host. Looks fine. But then it won't do any playback. Ext MIDI ng. Int keyboard ng.

Only thing that fixes it is a reboot. Same issue in Mulab and Acid Pro.

Win64 Pro. i72600K 16G RAM.

I'm sorry you're having this problem.  I'm running a Mac with Logic Pro X and haven't been able to replicate it.

What DAW are you using?

Had same issue in both Acid Pro and Mulab DAWs.
Don't think they were the issue though.
This time, instead of resetting the machine, I reset the USB audio interface and that got the sound back.
Focusrite Saffire 6 USB.
That's unfortunate mate!  Running a UAD Apollo Thunderbolt here.  No hiccups whatsoever.  Bear in mind I'm running the AU version of the plugin.

Hi @benfury,  is this the same issue that you reported where you had a "menu screen burn-in that would not go away till I changed screen resolution"?  You've found some helpful clues here.  I just want to make sure I capture it all in the right bug reports.

Also, when it goes silent, is everything locked up, or do the controls still move?  Does the DAW lock up?

And if any crash logs are ever generated in Windows, that can really help.

Hi, Taiho!

No. No screen burn-in artifact on this one.

Didn't try the controls. Didn't check the DAW. Just bailed out of it and switched DAWs.

On pressing the onscreen keyboard, there was no sound or response from the oscilloscope on either one.

No crash logs. As far as I can tell, there was no crash. Waverazor had no sound and no oscilloscope. System restart resolved it the first time. Restarting the Saffire6 USB interface only fixed it the second time. Not the first time I've had the Saffire lock up. I suspect the problem's coming from the Saffire.

If it happens again, I'll try the controls and see if the DAW is still operational.
Many thanks!  I've added this info to the bug I reported earlier.  If anything else pops up, let me know and I'll keep the report updated.
I have been doing a bit with Acid Pro 7.0e and Waverazor and so far it's been working okay for me...  I am not a regular Acid user, so will keep it running to see if I can get a crash or lockup.    Though, it sounds like from your description, your Audio Device may have been locking up?
