Is it possible to share patches over the forum?

Hi all,

Super excited to scoop Waverazor tomorrow at launch.

Really glad there is a forum here now too. Is it possible to enable attachments in this forum software, so that users can upload patch files that they might want to share?

If not, is there another way you can recommend to share them?

Thanks!

Great question!  Currently, we don't have the ability to upload files to the forum.  However, we are planning to do something about this in the future, hopefully something with the ability to search, sort and rate patches.  That way, it's easier to find patches when you want them and doesn't clutter the forum.  Sound good?  Either way, we won't have the ability to upload right away, but I think it is something we would really like to have at the time the deep patch editor is released, if not sooner.

By the way, we had to push the launch back by about half a day or so.  We should launch sometime on Saturday, April 15, rather than overnight Friday (PST).  We're quite close to having a demo mode available, which will help a lot of people, so we decided to push for it.  Sorry!  (But at least it's not a huge delay this time.)

All the best,

Taiho

You need to do something for patch sharing. It is important for attracting customers. Add section on website where can users preview and download patch.
Nobody is sharing patches on https://www.kvraudio.com and suggested reddit here is dead. I don't even know how to edit reddit wiki and I am not interested in contributing anything if I have to host my patches on my computer and just provide link.

Do you know why Spire https://www.reveal-sound.com still after so many years with only few bugfixes and so new features sells for $189? Because there is a lot of dance music patches around for it. Its still no.1 synth for dance music.

Its not bad synth (4OSC, Noise, HyperSaw, WaveTable, FM, EQ, 5 effects, 16 step ARP, 2xMSEG), but other more recent synths in $200 class have much more features and sound wise they can do anything what spire can do and more. Spire is still sold because it has many patches and patches contains ARP and MSEG's - so users can start playing famous dance patterns easily.

@synapticgroove has started a subreddit where Waverazor users can post patches right now!  Check out his forum post here:

We're very thankful @synapticgroove stepped up to help as we work on building infrastructure.

Seriously floored,
Taiho
Thanks @taiho & @rob for a stellar synth!
