How do I load WaveRazor (plugin) patches into the 1010 WaveRazor module?

I bought the unit for one particular patch...literally.  Devastated it's not listed in the patches on the module... how do I get patches over to the 1010 module?

Uh oh, the patches are not 100% compatible between the plugin and the module because the module is only two of the oscillators and limited to 8 segments each.  Did you want the full plugin patch with filters and LFOs and Envelopes, etc?  That's definitely not possible, unfortunately.  However, I could make a module preset that duplicates as much of the plugin patch's oscillator setup as possible.  Which patch is the one you like?

All the best,

Hi Highsage,

I saw the response that Rob forwarded to me.  It looks like I can recreate most of Dauntless.  However, it does have one segment (out of 8) that doesn't have sync while all the rest do.  The module can only have hard sync on all segments, or not.

But I thought of a way to get around this!  I can recreate 7 of the segments exactly, and then set the non-sync segment to Audio Input.  We can use the second oscillator in the module just for this one segment.  You'll need to physically patch the output of oscillator 2 back into the AUD /CV 2 jack input, but then it should recreate the Dauntless oscillator timbre.

I'll set the oscillator CV configuration to CV 1 Dual.  That way, the CV 1 input can control the pitch of both oscillators.  Then it's just a matter of running the Audio 1 Output (oscillator 1 only) through a 4-pole ladder filter, which hopefully you have in your rig.

I'll be back again when the preset is done.  It shouldn't take too long.

Cheers,

Taiho

Taiho-san,
My sincerest gratitude for your kindness, your time, and sound design!  Can't say in words what the patch means to me..and I know you saw the other email from prior, so again... Thank you.  I'll await eagerly... and will make the most beautiful music with this patch and module.   -highsage
Just popping back in to let Rob and Chris know we got it all sorted out with a custom Dauntless preset oscillator configuration.  Haven't listened to that patch in a while, but the harmonic content and movement in that setup is really nice (if I do say so myself).  ;-)  Highsage already has some cool grooves going...  Woot!   -T
