Filtryg doesn't appear to work

+1 vote
Hi,

I installed and authorised Filtryg. But it only shows up in Logic Pro as an AU Instrument (not as an effect).

When I play notes, the GUI keyboard responds, but there is no sound.

Am I supposed to sidechain something into it?

Talk soon?

Ahhh... I restarted the computer and launched Logic again... Filtryg is now available as an AU effect.

A fun plugin to play with!  :)

Sorry for the false alarm!

Oh, cool, thank you for clarifying that!   I was just testing it now, and scratching my head, it has been working for me all during development in Logic 10.5.1.   I just updated to 10.6.1 and experienced exactly the same problem... restart of computer and launching Logic again fixed it all up.    How weird.

In addition to the answer from @Yellowhammer, this appears to be related to the OSX system not rebuilding the AudioUnit cache after installation.   I found the same issue in Waveform, where the AU Effect did not show up, even though the AU Instrument was appearing.    VST/VST3 appear right after install in Waveform, but of course that doesn't help you in Logic (AU only).

I'll look into this, as a restart should not be neccessary for an Audio Unit host to see the plugin.
